Does our insta-bedroom product sound familiar? You might have seen wallbeds, also known as murphy beds, from old movies or heard about Edmonton’s Arlington Apartments that had them installed during the 20s.
The difference between those wallbeds and ours is that we can install ours in cabinetry for a variety of places, including your home office, den, sewing room, or library.
Our wallbeds come in single, double, and queen sizes with vertical or horizontal positions. No matter the size or position, they are all made to be light and easily manageable. However, we do make sure that they are heavy enough to be sturdy so that people of all ages, especially seniors, can find them safe and don’t have to worry about them flipping up.
Using our 30 years of experience in the wallbed industry and a competitive edge in design, we make sure that each room we make is as unique as each of our customers so everyone has a room or kitchen they can call their own.

You can install a wallbed anywhere that you need to save space.
Wallbeds have been installed in a variety of places, such as condos, cottages, ski chalets, hotels, bed and breakfasts, apartments, studios, lofts, fire halls, ambulance stations, home offices, and even regular bedrooms for people of all ages.
Our wallbeds offer the following two significant features:
Our high-end spring mechanism works with the weight of your mattress to make sure your wallbed opens and closes smoothly, and our special foot mechanism allows you to open and close the wallbed’s legs in one simple motion.
Part of The Chicago Murphy Bed Company bed mechanism, our two mechanisms have been tested to handle up to 1200 pounds, and unlike other wallbeds, ours has a frame that is light enough to also handle a regular coil or spring mattress.
There are other advantages to using our mechanisms, such as having enough access to change sheets easily and not having a wooden box under your legs when you sit on the side of your wallbed.
Yes, you can! We have even installed wallbeds in hotels and bed and breakfasts for their guests to use and enjoy for the duration of their stay.
To make sure you can close your wallbed with its bedding still on, we have included a handy Velcro strap, which can be used to hold your wallbed’s sheets and pillows in place.
Our wallbeds open and close incredibly easy!
They are made to counterbalance with the weight of your mattress so that they open slowly. As a result, when you have one properly installed, you’ll be able to open it partially and leave it in that position without it dropping.
To show how easy it is to close our wallbeds, we are always on the lookout for young children at our home shows to get them to impress their parents by closing our wallbeds with just one or two fingers!
We make sure our wallbeds have sturdy feet that don’t get in your way. Our wallbeds have heavy-duty steel fold over feet that are connected with a crossbar so that you can open or close them in one motion. When you open them fully, they are recessed out of the way so you can avoid stubbing your toes. Once you close them, their crossbar rests on top of your mattress so they aren’t an eyesore and you can see nothing but your cabinet.
While we give your wallbed additional support by securing two L-brackets into the studs of your wall at the top of the bed, we do not bolt it to the floor. During our installation, not much happens to your space other than what would happen if we were to hang up one or two pictures in your room, so you won’t have to worry about creating a problem down the road if you decide to rent.
